Abstract

Mises examines the nature of society emphasizing the rationale and importance of the division of labor as a principle of all forms of life and social development. He differentiates the concepts of organization and organism, showing how the latter contributed to science. He concludes that when we believe that the division of labor is the essence of society then disappears the antithesis between individual and society, as well as that between individual principle and social principle.
